Be Different and Make a Difference!
The wind may blow from any direction, but the direction in which you go depends on how you set the sails
We all hope to achieve success in many areas of our lives, but sometimes the road to success seems to be paved with difficulties and events that we hadnt planned for. What will you do when you hit intractable roadblocks? You have to prepare yourself to safely sail in the rough waters to your port of destiny. You are born to win. Dont forget that you are unique, special, and irreplaceable. You are the sum total of the choices and decisions you make every day. You possess the great power to determine your future and destiny. And with great power comes great responsibility. Power and responsibility are like two sides of the coin. So, make your decisions and choices with responsibility. Remember, you are created to accomplish something that no one else can accomplish. Therefore, be different and make a difference. This feat is possible when you set a vision with proper strategy. Throughout history, successful business ventures from Ted Turners CNN to Steve Cases America Online to Bill Gates Microsoft to Oprah Winfreys inspirational empire have all been made possible by the combination of vision and strategy, of insight and execution. Social and religious leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. had the same combination an inspiring vision of what society could be, and strategies based on civil disobedience to make that vision a reality.
Unlike imaging, visioning is a function of the intuitive mind. James Allen, a British philosopher says, Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be. To set a powerful vision strategy, you must be driven by the qualities like will power, self-discipline, creative visualization and positive thinking. Will power overcome laziness and procrastination whereas self-discipline helps you to withstand hardships and difficulties, whether physical, emotional or mental. Creative visualization and positive thinking restore the focus and intensity of ones life to accomplish greater things. Make creativity a habit and live in a virtuous circle of growth with positive thinking.
If you want to be successful in realizing your vision, you should continue to work until you get what you want, against all odds. Realizing your vision and obtaining success is not an easy task. Persevering through overwhelming difficulties, rallying resilience to overcome adversity and confronting setbacks as you reach for your summits will enable you to attain your vision. Be flexible and creative, as things may not always turn out the way you had hoped or planned.Being flexible and creative, youll be able to think of new, more efficient strategies to reach your goals.
When striving to accomplish your vision, you must engage yourself with vigor, execute your vision strategies with determination and rally the drive to continue upward. During exigent times, face adversity with courage, persevere through repeated challenges and overcome uncertainty. Use challenges for growth that makes your future hardships more tolerable. On your way to success, you may encounter many challenges and obstacles, but they are not a key factor that knocks you down. Instead, its a matter of how you pick yourself up! Learn from your obstacles as theyre stepping stones towards success! You should learn to face your problems optimistically and always look for ways to succeed but not excuses for failure! Definitely, life is not smooth sailing, the wind may blow from any direction, but the direction in which you go depends on how you set the sails. You must turn all the failures, rejections, criticisms and ridicules into a motivational force to push you moving forward. The choice you made yesterday will determine what youre today. Similarly, the choice you make today will decide what youll become tomorrow. You must grasp all the opportunities that come to you. No matter how challenging it gets, keep going, because your vision is the key to fulfill your lifes purpose. Eliminate the distractions that block you, wipe away the confusion that plagues you, diffuse the fear and hesitation that hold you back and restore the focus and intensity to be different and make a difference.
