Seminar on Post Budget Analysis on 19 February

The seminar on Post Budget Analysis was held on 19 th February 2021 at 1pm in the college auditorium. The seminar began by introducing the chief guests and all those present, the chief guests being Mr. Abel Boaz, and Mr. Sunny Francis who were also judges for the day accompanied by Dr. Sujatha Bopanna. The seminar started with welcome speech addressed by Nandana of 1st sem followed by the lighting of the lamp which was lead by the chief guests and asst. Proff. Calvin D’Souza. The seminar was started by the students with Amala Saju of 5th sem Bcom taking the initiative and followed by Mokshith also from 5th sembcom who presented about Direct and Indirect tax on the basis of Budget on Tax. Joel Mathew from 5th sem BBA presented about Budget on Economy and Finance. Saffanath Abdul Khadar from 5th sem BA and Rohith Sathya also from 5th sem BA presented about the topic Minimum Government and Maximum Governance. John Paul Madayackal from 5th sem BCA and BK Frankie from 5th sem BCA spoke about Budget on Infrastructure. Dechamma M R from 3rd sem BCOM and Darshini K T from 3rd sem BBA presented about the topic Budget on Employment. Kaushik S from 3rd sem BBA and Glen D’souza from 3rd sem BBA presented about Budget on Education. Joyel Shaju of 1st sem Bcom spoke about Budget on Health and Sanitation followed by S David Sanath Kumar of 1st sem BBA who presented about Budget on Agriculture with which the seminar was concluded. Asst. Prof. Vanitha gave highlights of the budget 2021-22.The seminar which was conducted in the form of a competition turned out to be a tough one. The programme was concluded by the price distribution where the first price was bagged by Joel Mathew Mammen from 5th sem BBA, the second price was awarded to David of 1st sem BBA and the third price was given to S Kaushik from 3rd sem BBA. The vote of thanks was given by Diya Chengappa.
