Nurturing a diverse and inclusive community where everyone feels equally at home is a fundamental part of teaching, learning and working at De Paul. In every aspect of our community, De Paul champions diversity, equity and inclusion. As Vincentians we know that the best way to understand the world around us is to embrace the full spectrum of perspectives and life experiences. To that end, we welcome students, staff and faculty members of every gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status and gender identity. We also encourage all community members to think critically about disparities in social structures, and to take action toward positive change. As part of our work, we support the recruitment, hiring, and retention of faculty and staff from different states; work on policy and practices issues as they relate to diversity, equity and inclusion; and collaborate with many company partners, including the International Center of the University in events, programs, workshops, and trainings.
Some of our traditions are steeped in religion and reflection. Others give us a chance to celebrate our accomplishments. A few are just plain fun. Check out some of the traditions that bring our community together.
