Accreditation

ASSESSMENT & ACCREDITATION

At De Paul College, Mysore, we are actively working towards getting accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). We believe this process is not just about a certificate but about improving how we teach, support students, and run the institution.

Over the past several months, we have taken practical steps to prepare for NAAC accreditation:

Forming Criteria-Wise Teams: We created separate teams for each of the ten NAAC criteria. Each team has a criteria head and supporting staff who are responsible for collecting information, maintaining records, and planning activities related to their area.

Regular Meetings and Reviews: We have been organizing weekly meetings with all staff members to discuss progress. In these meetings, each team shares what they have completed, what evidence they have collected, and what challenges they are facing. This has helped everyone stay informed and work together.

Regular Documentation:

  • All teams have started preparing documents with actual data:
  • Attendance records of seminars, workshops, and awareness programs.
  • Photos and reports of student activities and community outreach.
  • Minutes of meetings and circulars related to quality initiatives.
  • Department files showing curriculum plans, lesson plans, and student feedback.
  • Records of faculty publications, paper presentations, and research projects.
  • Proof of collaborations and MoUs signed by the college.
These documents are being stored in both digital folders and printed files, making it easier to cross-check and verify.

Programs and Activities Linked to Criteria:

  • Based on NAAC guidelines, specific programs were planned and conducted:
  • Student Induction Program to support the Criteria Student Support.
  • Faculty Development Workshops to strengthen Criteria Governance and Leadership.
  • Community service initiatives to meet the criteria extension and best practices.

Transparency and Collective Effort: All staff are involved in this process, and everyone is aware of the importance of authentic documentation. We avoid copying templates from other institutions and instead focus on what De Paul College actually does and achieves.

Ongoing Improvement: We see the accreditation process as a way to build a culture of quality, not a one-time task. Our goal is to create better learning experiences, more student opportunities, and a stronger reputation for our college. We are confident that with the collective effort of our management, faculty, and students, we will complete the NAAC accreditation successfully and set higher benchmarks for ourselves in the coming years.
